2019 Joint Worldquest Academic Worldquest Competition World Affairs The ultimate global competition academic worldquest is a fast paced, team based competition for high school students to test their knowledge of current international politics, geography, global economics, history, and world cultures. the 2025 academic worldquest competition will take place february 17, 2026 at the university of houston. Since 2003, academic worldquest™ (awq) has been the world affairs councils of america’s flagship youth education program. this fun, fast paced team competition for high school students tests players’ knowledge of current international politics, geography, global economics, history, and world cultures.
Academic Worldquest邃 World Affairs Councils Of America 2026 academic world quest will take place at the mcglinn conference center near alvernia university on march 12th, 2026. sponsored by the world affairs council of greater reading, this local competition will host teams from high schools around berks county. Competition takes place in washington, dc from april 27 28, 2026. in collaboration with the academic worldquest task force, and in consultation with partners, this year’s topics contextualize world affairs for students, bringing history, culture, and concepts into today’s most pressing issues. Academic worldquest 2026 — world affairs council of ky & so. in. awq is an academic competition for high schools, testing students’ knowledge of international events and current affairs. the competition consists of 100 multiple choice questions, including 10 sections of 10 questions. Congratulations to our 2026 academic worldquest regional champions from flower mound high school. they will be competing at the carlos and malú alvarez academic worldquest™ national competition in washington, dc this spring. It is a team game testing high school students’ knowledge of international affairs, current events, human geography, world history, and culture. after studying the ten topics, approximately 4,000 students across the country participate in competitions hosted by local world affairs councils. There are currently more than 40 local competitions held around the country and the winners of these local competitions are invited to compete in the national academic worldquest held in washington d.c. each spring. this year's competition will be hosted on february 12, 2026!. Bcfa was proud to host its second annual academic worldquest on march 7, 2026. nine teams from six schools competed in trivia on foreign affairs topics including tariffs, the fifa world cup, global trade, immigration, the belt and road initiative, nuclear policy, and international current events.
