2019 Joint Worldquest Academic Worldquest Competition World Affairs Since 2003, academic worldquest™ (awq) has been the world affairs councils of america’s flagship youth education program. this fun, fast paced team competition for high school students tests players’ knowledge of current international politics, geography, global economics, history, and world cultures. Academic worldquest™ is a fun, friendly, and powerful team based knowledge competition designed for high school students keen to learn about international affairs. this flagship program involves both our cwac locally sponsored awq contest as well as the awq championship in the nation's capital.
Academic Worldquest邃 World Affairs Councils Of America Academic worldquest is a fast paced, team based competition for high school students to test their knowledge of current international politics, geography, global economics, history, and world cultures. Bcfa was proud to host its second annual academic worldquest on march 7, 2026. nine teams from six schools competed in trivia on foreign affairs topics including tariffs, the fifa world cup, global trade, immigration, the belt and road initiative, nuclear policy, and international current events. It is a team game testing high school students’ knowledge of international affairs, current events, human geography, world history, and culture. after studying the ten topics, approximately 4,000 students across the country participate in competitions hosted by local world affairs councils. Competition takes place in washington, dc from april 27 28, 2026. in collaboration with the academic worldquest task force, and in consultation with partners, this year’s topics contextualize world affairs for students, bringing history, culture, and concepts into today’s most pressing issues.
Academic Worldquest Institute Of Competition Sciences It is a team game testing high school students’ knowledge of international affairs, current events, human geography, world history, and culture. after studying the ten topics, approximately 4,000 students across the country participate in competitions hosted by local world affairs councils.
