Africansmartcities African Smart Cities Tci, a collaborative smart city implementation platform, was launched among 25 global cities during the oxygen summit in new york city in 2024. five african cities—casablanca, dakar, mombasa, benguerir, and konza technopolis—are currently participating in the tci. In african countries, where urban growth, combined with the transformation of the rural world, and rapid population growth are confronting cities with major socio economic and environmental challenges.
