The Guild Embroiderers Guild The embroiderers guild is an educational charity dedicated to educating people of all ages about the world of embroidery – from the sheer pleasure of stitching to the design, creativity and production of unique inspirational works. In the 1960s an offshoot of the embroiderers' guild was developed as a platform to exhibit professional embroidery to the public. founded in 1962 and originally named 'the professional group of the embroiderers' guild', the group brought attention to textile art nationally and internationally.

On 1st september the distinction between individual and branch members disappeared, and now every member is exactly that a full member of the embroiderers' guild. this means that all former branch members have full privileges of membership, as well as continuing to join in with branch activities.
