In this chapter, research on the range of dimensions of wil that contribute to the overall “quality” of wil curricula is surveyed and synthesized, and a quality framework is developed that may help practitioners achieve high quality wil designs. The paper will discuss the application of a wil quality enhancement framework, with a focus on how it can support designing and applying wil initiatives effectively in a work life setting. Those discussions is work integrated learning. work integrated learning combines classroom learning with time working in industry, public or community organizations. wil programs are often seen by governments, academic institutions, students and parents as a way of preparing students with the skills and experience they need to be successful. This framework has been developed based on a definition of wil as student experiences of work within curriculum, undertaken in partnership, through engagement with authentic and genuine activities for the industry, business or community partner, which are assessed. In addition to the continued use of kolb’s (1984) theory as a guiding framework for experiential learning, it is also important to incorporate theories that contextualize and enhance quality wil experiences for all students.
