20th April 2025 Minions Cornishstuff Called into minions on my way home, wandered up around the quarry. could hear a cuckoo, but wasn’t in the mood to chase him around the moor to get a photo!. 21st april 2025 – lansallos another lovely day so i headed to the coast at lansallos and wandered along the coast bath for a mile or two. didn’t spot many….
21st April 2025 Minions Cornishstuff It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, perfect for our daily wander on the moor. though we caught the distant calls of a couple of cuckoos, they remained elusive. still, i managed to capture a variety of other birds through my lens. Surprisingly nice after work, so dashed home and picked up the camera and headed off to minions. lots of wheatears about, also a cuckoo, who seemed to be following me about, the meadow pipits were mostly trying to avoid the cuckoos i think!. It was surprisngly sunny, though a very dark sky in parts, so naturally i took the camera up to the moor to see if i could sport some birds. i did, jackdaws, loads of meadow pipits, a northern wheatear, some pied wagtails nothing rare but was great to get out for a bit . ohhh i.
6th May 2025 Minions Cornishstuff Surprisingly nice after work, so dashed home and picked up the camera and headed off to minions. lots of wheatears about, also a cuckoo, who seemed to be following me about, the meadow pipits were mostly trying to avoid the cuckoos i think!. It was surprisngly sunny, though a very dark sky in parts, so naturally i took the camera up to the moor to see if i could sport some birds. i did, jackdaws, loads of meadow pipits, a northern wheatear, some pied wagtails nothing rare but was great to get out for a bit . ohhh i. It looked and felt much the same as yesterday, however no sign of the birds i saw yesterday, no wheatears, no redstarts. lots of skylarks though and no shortage of blackbirds, robins and stonechats. guess what? another lovely evening after work so i headed up to the moor.
