2022 Annual Report Women Against Abuse Our 2022 annual report will share the many new beginnings we have traversed as an organization over the past year, as well as a few of those to come! but none of these new beginnings – for clients or the women against abuse familia – would be possible without your ongoing support. During 2022, grantees led co creation efforts with community members to plan and implement solutions to prevent and end vaw g at the local level with the aim of sustaining gains beyond the project cycle, particularly in the context of a rising backlash against women’s rights. The violence against women act requires a report to congress every even numbered fiscal year, providing information about the incidence of stalking and domestic violence, and evaluating the effectiveness of anti stalking efforts and legislation. A joint unodc un women report on femicide, noting that some 45,000 women and girls had been killed by intimate partners or family in 2021, was also launched in 2022 on the occasion of the international day for the elimination of violence against women. This report is the 2022 edition of women’s aid’s yearly publication on the provision, usage and work of domestic abuse services in england. we primarily examine the financial year 2020–21, but have also included information about the early implementation after april 2021 of the new statutory duty to provide support for victims of domestic.
